Q: What insurance is
required to enter the Parade?
A: Vehicles require valid insurance to participate.
Q: How much does it cost to
enter the Grand Parade?
A: In some cases, not a cent. Please refer to your
Grand Parade Entry Packet for “EARLY BIRD ENTRY FEE” and
“LATE BIRD ENTRY FEE” details.
Q: Can I learn my staging
number for the order of the Grand Parade in advance of Parade
Day?
A: No. Logistical concerns, including but not limited to
last-minute adjustments, prevent notification of Parade Staging
numbers before Check-in, which begins at 10:00 a.m. on Parade
Day. Please refer to Grand Parade Rules and Important Details memos in your
Grand Parade Entry Packet.
Q: Can I include animals in
my Parade Entry?
A: We do welcome animals within the following parameters for
the health and safety of participants in our Aquafest
Event. Animals must remain 100% supervised and "contained" by
cages, cage, or rider/reigns at ALL TIMES or secured on a
float or vehicle at ALL TIMES. The Aquafest
"campus", especially the Parade Route, is very compact. Sudden,
unpredictable circumstances may startle and/or confuse animals,
causing them to become agitated or frightened, and therefore
dangerous, regardless of how "docile", "trained", "organic" or
"cute" they are. Animals and their excrements are to be
contained in such a way as to PREVENT CONTACT WITH PEOPLE AND
OTHER ANIMALS.
Walking of animals on leashes
is PROHIBITED!
You cannot allow ANYONE or any
other animal to approach or touch your animals along the staging
and Parade Routes, and you cannot allow your animals to approach
or touch anyone or any other animal - no matter HOW much they
may WANT to! It is your responsibility as Parade Entrant
to insure that neither the animals nor their excrements (such as
saliva, urine, feces, etc.) come in contact with Aquafest
participants, including but not limited to other Parade
Entrants, spectators, staff, etc.
You must provide equipment and
non-toxic materials to "scoop" and/or "wash and rinse" the
street or other surfaces where contact could occur, and you must
assign specific staff from your entry to provide the cleanup at
the time the "accident" occurs, including cleaning YOUR hands,
shoes and clothing. You must prevent opportunities for
contamination such as excrement on a shoe that is tracked
through the food court, or bacteria on a hand that is
transferred to a carnival ride. It is your responsibility to
assure that no such "by-product" is left on the Parade Route or
any property associated with the Aquafest Celebration.
Q: Is there a height limit
for Grand Parade Entries?
A: Entries over 14ft. will not clear the power lines overhead of
the Parade Route. (Refer to the
Grand Parade Entry Packet)
Q: Can our Grand Parade
Entry include motorcycles and/or ATV’s?
A: Yes. Compliance with State and Local law in terms of
activities, licensed drivers and insurance, etc. is required.
Q What if I miss the mailing cutoff date for
sending in my entry packet, can I still be in the parade?
A. Yes. Submit a Late-Bird fee applicable to your entry
along with your forms by special arrangement with the
Parade Official.
