Rules

1. All competitors must sign and submit a waiver prior to their race. Any competitor under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign waiver for them.

2. Only one person may be on the bed at a time as well as 4 runners who must remain in contact with the bed at all times.

3. All decorations on the bed and costumes (if a team chooses to wear them) worn by the participants must be held in good taste and may not include any profanity, revealing clothes, and clothing may not interfere with the bed for safety reasons. If you have any questions as to whether or not something may be inappropriate, please contact the race officials.

4. Anyone under the influence (as determined by the race officials) will not be able to compete in the race. This is for everyone’s safety.

5. Race will consist of one lap around the bed track which is outlined in the flyer. Race officials will determine the winner if there is a close race. Race officials' determination is final.

6. Runners are responsible for the overall safe operations of propelling and stopping the bed. Any unsafe operation as deemed by race officials, will disqualify said team.

7. No mechanical or electrical items may be used on the bed to enhance the speed of the bed. Any team found with such devices will be disqualified.

8. If any team proceeds to the out of bounds area, they will be disqualified. Race officials will make the final determination as to whether a team went out of bounds.

9. Abusive language or gestures will disqualify a team. Race officials will decide on whether language or gesture deems disqualification.
